The Welding Helmet That Keeps You Cool, Clear, and Connected

The Echo Fan Drive is a solar- and USB-rechargeable welding helmet available with either a traditional welding lens or the new Lazer welding lens. Both helmet options include the built-in cooling fan, LED light, and Bluetooth speaker to keep the wearer cool, illuminated, and connected on the job.

  • Built-In Cooling Fan: A two-speed fan draws fresh air down into the helmet to cut trapped heat and sweat.
  • Fog-Free Visibility: Constant airflow across the visor keeps your view clear so you never break position to wipe it.
  • Bluetooth Connectivity: Pair a phone or tablet for music, podcasts, or calls through the built-in speaker.

Built for the Shop and the Field

Thousands of hours of research went into this helmet line — covering pipe fitters working in high heat and welders working inside the shop.

The Problem, The Solution, and What Comes Next

Introducing the Echo Fan Drive — an all-new state of the art welding helmet, never before seen, featuring an industry-first Bluetooth integrated high-volume speaker. Now you can make your long workday go by faster by enjoying your favorite music or podcast while you work.

We didn’t stop there. We implemented a never-before-seen high-speed fan assist drive system that makes the workday more comfortable — no more fogged-up shop glasses and a sweaty face. It drops the temperature inside the helmet by up to 30 degrees. A built-in LED light serves welders working in low-light conditions, and the speaker and fan drive assist system are sealed against water for peace of mind if the helmet gets wet. Choose either a traditional welding lens or the new Lazer welding lens; both helmet options retain the built-in fan and speaker.

A welder struggling with a fogged visor and trapped heat

The Problem

A standard welding helmet protects your eyes and nothing else. Heat gets trapped inside, sweat builds up over a long weld, and shop glasses fog until you have to break position just to see. Low-light work means dragging a lamp around, and the hours crawl by in silence.

The Echo Fan Drive solution

The Solution

The Echo Fan Drive builds the missing comfort system directly into the helmet. A high-speed fan assist drive keeps air moving so the visor stays clear and the temperature inside drops. An LED light handles low-light conditions, and an integrated Bluetooth speaker keeps your music or podcast going all shift — with the water-resistant sealing to hold up on the job.

Features and Benefits

Choose the helmet with a traditional welding lens or the new Lazer welding lens. The built-in fan and Bluetooth speaker are included with either option.

  • Two Welding Lens Options Choose a traditional welding lens or the new Lazer welding lens. Both helmet options include the built-in cooling fan and Bluetooth speaker.
  • Built-In Cooling Fan A two-speed fan mounted in the helmet top draws fresh air down into the interior and directs it toward the wearer, pulling excess heat out and cutting the sweating and fatigue that come with a long weld.
  • Fog-Free Visibility Continuous airflow across the inside surface of the visor keeps it clear, so there is no stopping mid-bead to wipe down a fogged lens or a pair of shop glasses.
  • Integrated LED Light A front-mounted LED strip throws light onto the work in front of the helmet or into the interior, making low-light and confined-space jobs workable without hauling a separate lamp.
  • Solar and USB Rechargeable Twin photovoltaic panels on the helmet top feed a charge controller and rechargeable battery pack, with a USB port for topping off indoors. High ambient light areas can keep the helmet running without ever plugging in.
  • Built-In Bluetooth Speaker An integrated Bluetooth module pairs with a phone or tablet and feeds a high-volume speaker inside the helmet for music, podcasts, audiobooks, or calls throughout the shift.
  • On-Board Device Charging A USB charging module and port on the neck portion deliver 5 VDC to charge a phone, smart watch, or tablet straight off the helmet battery.
  • Custom Fit and All-Day Comfort Dual strap adjustments let the wearer dial in a secure fit, padded insulation lines the interior, and an at-a-glance battery capacity gauge sits below the visor. The existing visor darkening controls stay exactly as they are.

The Story Behind the Echo Fan Drive

Inventor Brian Fink of Cold Spring, Minnesota has developed a welding helmet built with a powered ventilation and comfort system to keep welders cool, clear-sighted, and connected on the job.

Brian, who has spent years behind a welding helmet, knew the discomfort all too well — a fogged-up visor, trapped heat, and sweat building up during long welds with no way to cool down without breaking position. Standard helmets offered protection but nothing in the way of comfort, and stepping away just to catch a breath of fresh air slowed the job down. Determined to build a better helmet, Brian set out to bring airflow, lighting, and connectivity into the helmet itself.
